| Interview with GGOurk | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Is this the first time you have played a Korean Pro? GGOurk: Yea, it's the first time, but hopefully not the last :D. It most likely won't be :). Are you nervous about your games? GGOurk: I wouldn't say I'm nervous, more excited than anything. It will be very fun. How are you preparing for this first match and how will you prepare to go deep into the tournament seeing as it will start at around 02:00 your time? GGOurk: Well if I can take even 1 game off of StC I'll be very happy, but my goal is to beat him in a Bo3 :D. I have been training vs top EU Terrans like Empire.Kas, Tarson, and Loz, so hopefully I'm ready. What about preparing to go deep into the tournament and staying up late? GGOurk: Well I haven't really prepared to go deep into the tourney, but I'll just take it as it comes and make sure to get some sleep before the match so I'm not tired and can give it my 100%. Alright, thanks for the interview and good luck :) GGOurk: Thank you. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Your first match of the tournament will be against dignitas.SeleCT. What do you have to do to be successful against him? GGLastShadow: Well SeleCT and I used to play a considerable amount together back in the first two months of release, but since then I've only played him once. From what I remember/can see from replays he relies on a methodical nature, so basically to win against him you just have to set him off tempo, sorta like tilt. Although I still think it's a really unlucky draw for me. Definitely, he's considered one of the best Terrans in the world. You have recently been doing very well in tournaments and even took first place at the recent New England SC2 LAN over coLRyan. Do you think that winning against SeleCT will further solidify you as one of the top Terrans in the US? GGLastShadow: If I can manage to win, hopefully it will officially re-establish me on the scene, although it is only a bo3, so not too much can be said from such a small series. I've managed to win games against a Terran who I consider to be better than SeleCT, so it's not like I have no confidence. Just my inconsistency vs SeleCT's skill and consistency is what worries me. With such a high-profile list of invites to the FXOpen, it's hard not to get seeded in the first round against a high-caliber player, but who do you think has the best chance of taking this tournament? Or is it anyone's to take? GGLastShadow: Well looking at the list, I don't know much about the Koreans, since I don't recognize any of their names except for StC, and I only remember him being extremely good. As far as foreigners, I would expect sixjax.Terran to really show himself and of course SeleCT. There are some foreigners I really don't know about so it would be unfair of me to make any comments on them. Alright, thanks and good luck. GGLastShadow: No problem, and thanks. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
