So what are your expectations going into the NESL this weekend?
Well, I'm really excited to be attending, and I'm really looking forward to it. It's only going to be sixteen players, and the mass majority seem to view me as the clear favorite from what I can tell. However, I'll definitely be practicing TvP with iNfeRnaL and Grubby if I'm able on EU to strengthen my TvP some more since the only player that I'm unsure about is coLRyan. Him and I haven't played too much, so I'm really unsure of his skill. Other than that I'm confident in all my other matchups.
How prepared do you feel? Are your hands still hurting and do you have your new mouse now?
Yep, my new mouse just came in so I'm going to be adapting to it shortly. Other than that this is a very stressful week for me with a lot of things going on all at once. My hands are still hurting but only slightly, the medication surely helped a lot. And I'm looking into getting a new keyboard as well soon.
You were also recently promoted to the Grandmaster League, how have you found the league so far?
I've only played a few games in it so far, but it was all against GrandMasters, so hopefully this will make ladder a little bit more competitive. I think it'll be great for the community and it keeps pushing the competition level higher and higher. I feel like unknown gamers have more a reason to push themselves in this league, since then they'll be in the "light" so to say to some people. Although maybe not everyone looks at ladder so much.
Speaking of Grandmasters, you recently qualified for the IG Grandmaster Cup in June. Are there any other tournaments you're looking forward to playing?
I'm looking forward to GosuCup, MLG Ohio, NESL, and the Grandmaster Cup. Essentially any tournament where I'll get to play with players I either normally don't play against, and/or just don't have the opportunity. I'm striving to get better as fast as possible, and so I actually love the chance to play the best the scene has to currently offer, even if I get obliterated. However I hope I'll be in top shape come all the far-away tournaments :)
