StarCraft 2 is a featured game for WCG

The fine folks at WCG USA 2011 have relaunched their website at us.wcg.com and have included some very interesting bits of news throughout. StarCraft 2 and League of Legends are making appearances at this year's WCG while Warcraft 3 is conspicuously absent, marking the first time a Warcraft RTS title was not included since 2002.

A recent press release explains:

The WCG USA website has officially been re-launched at http://us.wcg.com, and online qualifiers are now open for registration. The online qualifiers start April 25th and run through July 31st, directly qualifying players into the WCG National Finals. Registration for each qualifying tournament is limited, so be sure to register quickly to ensure your spot in the following events:

- Counter-Strike 1.6 (PC) - 5v5
- Tekken 6 (Xbox 360) - 1v1
- StarCraft II (PC) - 1v1
- Cross Fire (PC) - 5v5
- World of Warcraft: Cataclysm (PC)

Remember, space in each qualifier is limited, so be sure to register now at http://us.wcg.com!

Also be sure to follow @WCG_USA on Twitter for up-to-the-minute announcements and news, and \"like\" WCG_USA on Facebook for your chance to win a $50 Best Buy gift card.

The qualifiers for StarCraft 2 will happen from late April to the middle of July. For specifics, check out WCG's StarCraft 2 page. If you have any questions or complaints, the staff seems to be fairly active on their forums. You can find them here.
