All-Korean winners stand - Squirtle takes bronze

After the deciding victory on Scrap Station, the Korean StarTale player Squirtle makes sure the three invited Koreans will indeed take the top three positions in the Intel Extreme Masters World Championship.

Despite taking the early lead by winning the first game on Xel'Naga Caverns, Andrew "mOOn-GLaDe" Pender was unable to finish third in Hannover. The Protoss ball seemed too big for the Zerg, who in some moments seemed to take a bit too passive role.

Squirtle took two consecutive wins, on Metalopolis and Shakuras Plateau. And even though the "foreigner hope" spruced when mOOn-GLaDe evened out the score by winning with nice roach burrow movement on Lost Temple, the deciding game on Scrap Station went to the Korean. Showcasing some excellent phoenix, Squirtle boomed his way to the bronze and the $4,000 USD prize.

mOOn-GLaDe will have to settle for the $2,500 USD for coming in fourth.
