GameReplays TS3 Qualifiers over, 8 chosen

The GameReplays Tournament Season 3 final qualifier was played out just a few days ago. With DuskBin eSports and Inner Circle Elite virtually guaranteed a spot in the Invitational, all eyes was on the final spot. Whichever team that had the desire had to at least reach the final, or Deal With it, who was not part of the qualifier, would get it with their 10 points from the 1st qualifier.

Despite having already qualified for the Invitational, teams like FnaticMSI, Evil Geniuses, Infused Gaming, Wahlin and Finale all opted to cement their seedings by taking part. Favourites to clinch the last spot were SK Gaming, Online Kingdom, TCM Gaming, TS-Gaming along with the resurgent Empire Multigaming.


Unexpectedly, FnaticMSI were forced to sit out the tournament due to some difficulties, leaving a clear path for the victor between SK Gaming and Online Kingdom to reach the final, after both easily defeated Wildcard qualifiers TAY and VFS respectively. The new Online Kingdom featuring the return of DotA star Loda, along with new member eXain put up a good fight, but eventually went down to SK Gaming, thanks to a good draft of burst-heavy stunners by SK.

On the other side of the bracket, favourites Evil Geniuses continues their recent run of disappointing performances, going down to the new Empire Multigaming without former star Phe`V, although chu did not play for them either. The limelight of the right side of the bracket that night belonged to DuskBin eSports. Despite not playing with star carry player zekaykay, they managed to beat TCM-Gaming and demolished Empire en route to a semifinals with Infused. After recovering from a bad start, DuskBin were in a convincing lead against Infused and it looked like they would reach their 1st GR Qualifier final. Unfortunately when 2 DuskBin members disconnected, in a moment of blurriness the DuskBin members passed a concede vote instead of a pause, giving Infused Gaming a free pass to the final.

SK Gaming started off well against Infused in the final, with a rather sizable lead but the game was far from over. In a rather ironic fashion, Infused Gaming player CaptainBoner's internet disconnected at the 15th minute mark, forcing them to play 4v5. Infused conceded shortly after.
