Roam and KiLL wins LiveOn3 HoN Cup 1

The finals of the 1st ever LiveOn3 HoN Cup came to end just a few days ago, with Roam and KiLL emerging victorious against Reason Gaming. Their 1st taste of competitive victory was definitely hard-earned as they had to defeat tournament hot favourites Empire Multigaming to reach the final, where they did not disappoint.

The beginning of the game was fairly hard to call. With Defiler and Valkyrie both losing their lanes for RAK but Dark Lady at top was getting a very good farm. Reason made a very odd adjustment to the trilane, reverting to a 2-1-2 in hopes that Slither along with Voodoo Jester would be able to do some damage control at top. RAK on the other hand seemed fairly content with just letting Dark Lady get the farm while the rest were getting destroyed as Gladiator gets a Quad Kill including a kill on Dark Lady 18 minutes in.

Good Kongor baiting on Reason's part led them to get the token plus a kill on Defiler. However, there were signs that the tide was turning with Dark Lady getting a lot stronger. The supports were also making a massive difference as for most part of the game the Legion were able to counterward and eliminate Hellbourne's map vision.

The game then settled into a farming phase, with RAK bound to be the one to benefit from it. A teamfight exploded at the 48th minute, with RAK claiming 4 kills and proceeded to take out the Hellbourne's top and middle raxes. A good swap initiation by Andromeda gave RAK the confidence to get bottom as well. Reaon however showed a good defence, forcing a buyback from Dark Lady. RAK were keen on ending the game fast, using Dark Lady as a decoy for 3 heroes at top while the other 4 pushed full force into the bottom lane and got the ranged barracks. The final nail in the coffin was hammered as Dark Lady charged in with her Shrunken Head activated to take out the final barracks.

Reason Gaming decided to forfeit the series, handing RAK their 1st ever tournament win in the HoN scene.
