DreamHack has announced the prize pool of 100,000 SEK (~10,000€) for the Heroes of Newerth tournament at DreamHack Winter 2010, going under the name SteelSeries HoN Masters.
64 teams will enter a group stage to eventually reach a playoff where last season champions KD-Gaming await.
While which version of KD-Gaming that has been invited does not entail on DreamHack's website, previous experiences with DreamHack is that they invite the organization and not the playing roster.
Empire Gaming is also directly qualified for the playoffs after their win in the recent PlayDH.com qualifier.
The tournament is played BYOC-style and kicks off on Thursday, November 25 at 17:00. For further information, hit up DreamHack.se.
Last DreamHack also featured Heroes of Newerth. The prize pool then was set to 170,000 SEK (~17,000€), hence this year is a decrease of close to half the prize pool.
