OK.HoN is born, changes in European HoN scene

There's been a lot of changes recently in the European HoN scene with regards to rosters, sponsors etc. Here's a little update on what has happened so far:

FnaticMSI
Performing solid as always with their consistent 5, they've recently officially removed old school players DuQi and Rexi from their roster. However, will they pick up at least one reserve player seems to be the question as there have been games with players like haxxeren filling in for MSI in the past.

Latest Roster
Denmark Henrik "Freshpro" Hansen (Team Captain)
Finland Kalle "Trixi" Saarinen
Israel Tal "Bot" Aizik
Denmark Jascha "NoVa_" Markuse
Germany Johan "N0tail" Sundstein

Online Kingdom
OK, who used to have a powerhouse DotA team consisting the likes of current HoN players Black and XoYnoZnU, has decided to come to Newerth! Picking up the former KD-Gaming team, the organisation is keen to capitalise on the steady growth of the HoN scene and dominate it.

Team captain Mag1X left a statement on Online Kingdom's website:
Germany [OK] Mag1X
We are pretty excited about being part of the big OK Family now. Everyone I've met so far form Online-Kingdom was very kind and friendly, so we are really lucky that we found a partner like OK. We will, of course, do everything we can to make the OK name shine in the whole HoN-Community which is growing day by day. I'm looking forward to a great long term cooperation and good times under the OK Tag.

Latest Roster
Germany Mark "Mag1X" Müller (Team Captain)
Germany Dominik "Black" Reitmeier
Poland Remigiusz "Overpow" Pusch
Sweden Joakim "Akke" Akterhall
Denmark Mathias "SemiJew" Larsen

Unfortunately, due to his involvement with Universal Soldiers in the Group Stage, Overpow is still not eligible to represent OK in the HoN World Cup. Mag1X has stated that Kebap would still come back and help out as he's part of their roster that can play.

KD-Gaming eV
After their HoN team left for Online Kingdom, KD-Gaming were in search for another HoN team. Coincidentally, Dirty Minds were looking out for a sponsor. The stars just aligned and the new KD-Gaming.HoN was formed.

We bring you the translations of player wooti and manager Vorstand's statements on the KD-Gaming website:
Germany [KD] wooti
For some time now, we've been looking for a sponsor. Our search was initially unsuccessful, until we came across KD.

So happens that KD-Gaming were looking for a new HoN team and thus, this led to our chance to prove ourselves. We hope that we will be able to represent KD with honour.

Germany [KD] Vorstand
Everything has to come to an end, so is the era of KD.HoN. Having our guys join Online Kingdom, we were faced with the problem of finding a replacement team. Heroes of Newerth will continue playing a huge role in KD Gaming and so we are very happy about sponsoring Dirty Minds in the name of KD. With this team we have found a suitable replacement.

We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship.

Latest Roster
Serbia Stefan 'Smak_ ' Slavic (Team Captain)
Netherlands Willem de 'Fluxxie' Smit
Netherlands Wehsing 'Wehsing' Yuen
Germany Antonino 'wooti' Pollina
Sweden Adrian 'Era' Kryeziu
Spain Javier 'LoLQoP' Ortega

This is all of course following the departure of the former Druidz Qpad to TCM-Gaming and Druidz picking up team unZ to fill the void. You can read about those 2 here (TCM-Gaming) and here (Druidz Qpad). With DreamHack Winter 2010 less than a month away, it'll be interesting to see how many more teams will be fortunate enough to find sponsors to go compete.
