Blizzard has officially announced the first few changes to help polish up the bugs of Patch 4.0.1. Also, a few questions have been answered concerning warlock pets and the 'Authenticator' guild rank
Now that patch 4.0.1 is on its second day since the launch, I'm sure a lot of the WoW players have been having mixed feelings about the new patch: some accept the new style of gameplay and others believe the patch to be a total failure. Whatever your thoughts may be, Blizzard has announced a few changes to come into patch 4.0.1.
Class Balance Changes
Blizzard has announced a few upcoming changes to better balance the classes of WoW after patch 4.0.1:
1)Arms, fury, feral cat, and retribution dps will be buffed.
2)Mage fire dps is too high and will be nerfed.
3)Shadow priest dps is too high but thought to be because Shadow Word:Death spam; it will be fixed.
4)Destro lock dps is too high but though to be because Searing Pain spam; it will be fixed.
5)PvP dps is too high especially because Cataclysm health pools have not kicked. Blizzard will be buffing resilience and maybe changing it after Cataclysm launches.
Warlock Pet Names
With the new patch, I'm sure a few warlocks have seen that they're pets having different names. Some of you may like these new names, others may wish that their long thought out names of their beloved demonic pets were never changed. Nonetheless, both sides of the party get what they need. Blizzard will restore any names of your pets at the end of next weeks scheduled maintenance. On the other side, blizzard is working on implementing a new feature with upcoming patches that will allow a warlock to randomize a name for their pet for those players that liked the new names of their newly found pets. Here is the official blue post:
Missing Enchantments
You may have logged into your WoW and realized a few of your enchantments were gone. Sadly to say, Blizzard announced that they cannot restore any of the lost enchantments.
'Requires Authenticator' Guild Ranks
With patch 4.0.1, Guild Leaders were able to create ranks with a 'requires authenticator' option. For example, guild leaders could create a rank "Knight" with 'Requires Authenticator' enabled and guild members of rank "Knight" can access the guild bank. This will allow only guild members with an authenticator to access the guild bank.
Guild leaders have reported having issues promoting or demoting people with the 'requires authenticator' option. Blizzard has announced to give the system 72 hours to be able to recognize the authenticator and confirm it before reporting any problems. Also, after a player patches in, he or she will have to wait 72 hours before being able to be promoted or demoted to that rank.
These are the confirmed upcoming changes to patch 4.0.1. Share your thoughts and tell us what you think.
