After the first half of the first playday of the SteelSeries Heroes of Newerth World Cup group stage, we already have eight teams who have advance to the playoffs.

As we are 17 games inside the tournament, the group stages are gaining ground and we can already see teams having found their way to success.

The winner of the South East Asia qualifier,

Never Back Down, have already gone through Group F with a flawless record. This after winning against both

Bboys as well as receiving a forfeit win over

Heroes of Rape who have left the competition early.

Finale are both in Group N but are both through to the playoffs after defeating

Lesgit and

Pusoy. The two sucessors now only have each other to play for the group first seed.

Other teams with their future set to the playoffs is the Filipino team

Roam and Kill in Group H. Having defeated both German team

MyLilPwnies, they are safe in advancing to the next round, despite having one more game to be played. They can at worst go through as second, as final Group H team

Lahtisko Vitosella have yet to play any games.

Impunity have also gone through, landing on a 2-0 score after the first two games. That after defeating Canadian team

Not Quite There, and then getting a forfeit win over

FitForGamingSuper.

Goat,

Interpol and

SK-Gaming are also teams who are through to the next round after going 2-0 during the first playday.
