On May 29th at 17:00 KST, two players will find themselves in a similar situation that had happened just only four months before. Will history repeat itself?
Lee 'Flash' Young Ho and Lee Jae Dong are about to face each other once again in the MSL finals. Their last meeting was marred by a controversial decision by KeSPA referees to award game 3 of the Nate MSL finals to Jaedong, giving him a 2-1 lead in the match. Jaedong would eventually beat a deflated Flash in game 4 to take his 2nd MSL title.
Come May 29th, Flash may get his revenge on Jaedong. These players have not played each other since January in the ProLeague. While Flash made it to both the OSL and MSL finals almost effortlessly, he found out the hard way that a little more effort was needed to win both.
Jaedong on the other hand has had a relatively lighter load since being knocked out of the OSL midway through March. Despite this he has not lightened his load in the ProLeague and has played only two more games for his team than Flash has for his.
Both players are considered to be the top players in StarCraft currently. In 28 matches between the two in all leagues, they are almost evenly split with Jaedong having won one more game over Flash in the 28 matches. It is almost a coin toss between the two as to who will win.
Flash's performance in the OSL finals will have critics stirring about a possible weakness that may have opened up in his Terran vs Zerg matchup. Flash now only has a week left to recoup and refocus for his MSL finals rematch against Jaedong.
