Go4SC2 attract more players than ZOTAC Cup

In the race of attracting the most players to a StarCraft 2 beta cup, ESL's Go4SC2 is in the lead with 323 signed up players.

Never before have so many organizations hosted open-for-all cups with a prize pool over the hundred-dollar bill. When the weekend comes, a StarCraft 2 contestant has four tournaments to sign up for. The organization that can boast with the highest prize sum are ESL with their 900 Euro prize pool, spanned out over a month. With their well-known brand and high prize pool ESL Go4SC2 has attracted the most players so far.

The popular ZOTAC Cup, heading into their fifth edition already, is in second place with 275 signups this far. The Sunday cups have become a massive hit which was proved with last week's 662 signups.

Should you be looking for StarCraft 2 action and a cash prize on a Friday night, you should sign up for the Russian StarCraft 2 site SC2.ru's weekly cup. Their third installment kicks off tonight at 21:00. So far 267 players have signed up.

On Saturdays, you will be able to play in the CraftCup series which will occur at 14:00 CET. The player limit is set to 256, while 145 players are enlisted this far. Noted for this week's tournament is the lack of prize money. The winner will instead have a secured spot in the upcoming CraftCup Invitational tournament.
