M5 World Championship: Bigetron Sons brings the Brazilian power

Rounding out our look at Group A at the M5 World Championship is Bigetron Sons, the first of two LATAM Liga teams heading to the event.

Bigetron is already a well-known name to those following Mobile Legends: Bang Bang in the Southeast Asian scene for some time. The organisation has been a massive feature in Indonesia, and earlier this year they spread their wings over into South America, bringing in a Brazilian squad – Bigetron Sons. With Brazil and SA in general quickly rising in the MLBB scene, the team has already seen some great finishes in the region’s MPL, along with a few players who have a win under their belt.

The team

Felipe “Bllack” dos Santos Prado
Everton “Buzizio ” Buzizio de Mattos
Sindra
Akashi
Upaa
Lunna

As mentioned previously, a few players on the Bigetron Sons squad have won the MPL in Brazil previously – namely Akashi, Upa, and Lunna who were present on RED Canids when they claimed victory during Season 1 of the event. These three players also appeared at M3, where the Brazilians met an unfortunate demise rather fast. However, this year they have joined a new force as they hope to reach greater heights and keep showing the world that South American MLBB is alive and well.

The M-Series

Only half of the BTRS roster has previously had any experience at the M-Series, when they played with Red Canids, but the remaining players will be heading to their first-ever event. For the three new players, the main stage is going to be fantastic, as they hope to bring the brilliance of Brazil to M5. Inversely, the previous experience of the other three players should give Sons a great advantage to keep their squad calm and composed going forward at the event.

The formula

As a team, Sons has had a plethora of experience on the Land of Dawn, but it has constantly been met with second-place finishes. Since Season 4 of MPL Brazil earlier this year, Sons have fallen to RRQ Akira, struggling to get through their regional rivals. However, even with those losses, the team continues to shine, especially with heroes such as Floryn and Terizla, which we are likely to see at M5. BR’s playstyle is very similar to that which we see in SEA, but it definitely brings in its own twists and turns along the way.

At the end of the day, Bigetron Sons have a lot to prove when it comes to M5, and they will be hoping to take a strong stand in a tough Group. However, the team may struggle against opponents with much more experience such as ONIC Esports – but when it comes to MLBB, we all know that anything can happen.
