MPL PH Season 11: Nexplay EVOS in need of a miracle in Week 8

Regular Season for MPL PH Season 11 is heading into its final weekend, teams still fighting to reaching the playoffs.

One last weekend of Regular Season play remains in the Mobile Legends Professional League in Philippines – with a single team out of four which could be eliminated before the playoff stage. While Bren Esports, ECHO, and Blacklist International are all safely through to the next round, TNC Pro Team will have no chance to qualify, leaving RSG Slate PH, ONIC PH, Smart Omega Esports, and Nexplay EVOS as the teams who need to perform.

Unlikely EVOS

While NXPE have shown small signs of life in their Regular Season so far, they have only taken three overall series victories – two of which were against TNC. Even with 11 game wins to their name, they have not been up to the challenges of Season 11 and are most likely to stumble this weekend. With RSG and Blacklist on the cards, nothing short of a miracle could bring NXPE into the playoffs.

Safety for Omega

Smart Omega have had a tough MPL PH this season, especially without a few key members. That said, there have been some strong performances from the squad and Week 7’s victory over NXPE definitely assisted them in their journey. The final week comes with the challenge of the M4 World Champions as well as TNC, and a victory in just one of those series should be more than enough to help them into playoffs.

ONIC and RSG

For both ONIC PH and RSG Slate PH, the final week of Regular Season is mostly for seeding placements. Unfortunately for ONIC, they only have one series to play, which makes it harder to gain points – especially when it is the almost unstoppable Bren Esports who they face. RSG, on the other hand, will need to overcome both Omega and ECHO to remain above ONIC, just a single victory could also do the trick depending on the other results.

All in all, the final week of the MPL PH Season 11 Regular Season is set to give us some epic action, especially if we include a series between Bren and Blacklist to kick things off on April 14. Blacklist have a chance to creep into the top 2 this weekend, if ECHO stumble a bit, and that would be a massive move for a team that has looked a bit out of shape this season.
