What to watch: Esports World Cup Action; LPL Rumble Stage kickoff

The EWC LoL bracket kicks off on 4 July while the LPL rumble stage begins on 5 July.

It won’t be a typical Summer Split weekend for League of Legends fans as most LoL esports leagues take a short break for the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which will have a record-breaking prize pool of $60 million across all participating titles.

Meanwhile, the LPL continues its split with eight teams in the Nirvana stage competing in a single-round-robin format.

Curious about what's happening in the LoL esports scene this week? Here's everything you can look forward to.

Esports World Cup

As most LoL esports leagues take a break, an intense four-day competition featuring eight of the best LoL teams will unfold in Riyadh from July 4-7. These elite teams will vie for the championship title and a substantial share of the $1,000,000 prize pool.

The top two teams from the LCK, LPL, LEC, and LCS have been invited to the EWC to compete in a high-stakes elimination bracket.

The competition begins on Thursday, (4 July), with the quarterfinals, and culminates with the grand finals on Sunday, (7 July). With no room for mistakes, this promises to be an exhilarating showdown.
