Here is how the LCS Spring Split playoffs look like

Two LCS teams will head to MSI this year.

After eight weeks of group stage action followed by three tiebreakers on the final day, we now have our final six teams that will compete in the playoff portion of the LCS Spring Split. Unlike previous years, the LCS will now have two teams qualifying for the Mid-Season Invitational, making this year's Spring Split playoffs all the more exciting.

And after leading the table for most of the spring split, FlyQuest finished second in the standings, right behind Cloud9 after losing their tiebreaker for first place. It was also a three-way tie for third with 100 Thieves coming out on top after winning both their tiebreakers. Right behind them were Counter Logic Gaming, Evil Geniuses, and Golden Guardians.

The LCS Spring Split playoffs will exclusively be a best-of-five, double-elimination format. Here is what the bracket and schedule will look like:

Thursday, 23rd March (Game 1)

FlyQuest vs 100 Thieves

Friday, 24th March (Game 2)

Cloud9 vs Counter Logic Gaming

Saturday, 25th March (Game 3)

Loser of Game 2 vs Golden Guardians

Sunday, 26th March (Game 4)

Loser of Game 1 vs Evil Geniuses

Thursday, 30th March (Game 5)

Winner of Game 1 vs Winner of Game 2

Friday, 31st March (Game 6)

Winner of Game 3 vs Winner of Game 4

Saturday, 8th April (Lower Bracket Finals)

Loser of Game 5 vs Winner of Game 6

Sunday, 9th April (LCS Spring Finals)

Winner of Game 5 vs Lower Bracket Winners

FlyQuest will kick off the LCS Spring Split playoffs against 100 Thieves, a team they have bested over two games during the group stage. Lee "Prince" Chae-hwan was the standout MVP in both matches and FlyQuest will be hoping for more from their AD carry. As for 100 Thieves, their heavily-invested squad will want to build on their current winning streak, which now stands at seven games. All eyes will also be on Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng with the eight-time LCS champion hoping to lead yet another team to glory.

Group stage leaders Cloud9 will take on Counter Logic Gaming with the series currently tied at 1-1. This will be interesting for both teams in blue with C9 hoping to make it to MSI for only the second time in the organisation's history. As for CLG, anything is possible after the rough few years they've had and a place at MSI would be the most fitting way to establish itself as a top-tier org.

Both Golden Guardians and Evil Geniuses will have to wait and see who their respective opponents will be. Whether it's C9 or CLG, GG has a decent record against both teams this season with both series tied at 1-1. EG, on the other hand, will go up against the loser between FlyQuest and 100 Thieves. Their final super week meltdown plus losing a tiebreaker meant it would be a tough hill for EG to climb.
