The League Campus Series is heading off to playoffs before we know it. Here's a quick update to make sure you're prepared!
I know many of you have been focusing on the North American and European League Champion Series, but there is something beyond those competitive series that may be of interest to you. What may it be, you ask? It's none other than the League Campus Series.
What is the League Campus Series?
The League Campus Series is a weekly competition between the best college teams in North America. During each week in the regular season, each school will face another school twice in their conference. Each victory gives a team one point toward the season standings. Even though there are multiple games every week, Riot focus on one game each week and gives background information about each school that is performing. Once the regular season is over (which ended this weekend,) the four teams with the most points in each conference will enter a playoff-style format until we have a national champion.
What do I need to know before the playoffs?
1. The Schools competing in the playoffs.
North Conference:
- Robert Morris University
- Ohio State University
- University of Manitabo
- Michigan State University
East Conference:
- University of Toronto
- University of Maryland
- SUNY at Stony Brook
- York University
South Conference:
- Georgia Tech
- University of Maryland
- University of Texas
- Florida State University
West Conference:
- University of British Columbia
- Simon Fraser University
- Cal State Fullerton
- University of Washington
2. The playoff schedule:
- Conference Semifinals: March 15th and 16th
- Conference Finals: March 22nd and 23rd
- Championship: April 23rd and 24rh
