A well-placed Gragas ult turns a fight on a baron buffed MYM.
After two one-sided games, SUPA HOT CREW XD took out MeetYourMakers to land the eighth slot in the LCS.
A last minute disappointment for Ninjas in Pyjamas fans turned the promotion series into a best of three between SUPA HOT CREW XD and MeetYourMakers. MeetYourMakers barely put up a fight, and SUPA HOT CREW XD took the series in two relatively short games.
From the start, MrRallez and Migxa controlled their lane, but they weren't the only ones. From the get-go, it seemed that each of SUPA HOT CREW XD's lanes won with minimal jungle pressure. When fights broke out, MeetYourMakers struggled to acquire any advantages. Eventually, the Polish Summer Split veterans pulled out a desperate baron attempt. Even with the buff for MYM, a strong ultimate by Moopz's Gragas turned the fight in SUPA HOT CREW XD's favor.
A brief catch on Moopz in the mid lane later gave MYM a short-lived window in which they took both mid lane outer turrets. As soon as Moopz respawned, however, SUPA HOT CREW XD regained control and won the next fight handily, taking the game.
The second game saw the first Yasuo pick of the European professional scene. Yasuo went top lane against Mimer's Dr. Mundo, and he attempted to follow Impaler into MYM's jungle on a red trade, but SUPA HOT CREW XD expected it and were able to push Mokatte and Kubon out and secure the buff. Moopz was set behind when he used both flash and ignite attempting to chase Mokatte and secure an early kill, which made this game a bit longer than the first. In addition, Mokatte focused attention bottom, resulting in more one for one trades that kept the lane a bit more even than in the previous game.
In the top lane, however, Mimer bullied Kubon over and over, snowballing his Dr. Mundo pick out of control. Since the other lanes did not fall behind significantly for SUPA HOT CREW XD, Mimer's dominance carried them through the mid game, and the second match began to closely resemble the first as SUPA HOT CREW XD rounded out the series in a tidy 2-0 victory.
Though Ninjas and Pyjamas did not show for the promotion today, SUPA HOT CREW XD still demonstrated a great deal of strength taking out MYM, and they have earned their spot in the next split of the LCS.
