Some predicted that Coast would take this series decisively, and when Coast won games, they did so nearly perfectly, giving up very few deaths to The Walking Zed. The Walking Zed did, however, manage to win both their blue side matches and make a case for themselves as a strong amateur team.
Coast picked up a great deal of strong picks over The Walking Zed, including Shyvana, Jinx, Annie, and Ziggs. Then, after extensive pauses, the first game got underway. Teams seemed to be uncertain as Coast missed a chance for an early first blood. They soon made up for it, however, as Shiphtur started forcing Bischu out of lane. In addition, KoR Kez forced several ganks, but NintendudeX's presence and wizfujiin's decisive play eventually netted Coast's marksman a triple kill. From there, the game snowballed out of The Walking Zed's Control, and Coast closed out the game with only one death.
In the second game, The Walking Zed picked up Olaf and Orianna to attempt the ball delivery composition. However, what really got the team started was a failed invade attempt by Coast. Both ZionSpartan and Daydreamin fell, and everyone on Coast and TWZ burned their flashes, except for the mid laners. From there, Coast was able to pick up some advantages, like an early solo dragon, and stay in the game. Some nice ults from Bischu's Oriana and hesitation on ZionSpartan's Shyvana to start fights, however, saw Coast struggling to hold any advantage. The game finally closed out in a base race with the remnant's of Coast's team rushing TWZ's nexus turrets only to be taken out as the rest of TWZ finished out the game.
ZionSpartan's Nasus came out in the third match, and The Walking Zed got on their back foot early due to some excellent plays by Daydreamin's Thresh. When TWZ started to get a couple out of position picks, they looked like they might have a chance, but little could stand in the way of ZionSpartan's Nasus with more than 500 stacks. He tanked turrets and Yazuki's Shyvana while he wreaked havoc on TWZ's base. Coast took their second victory convincingly.
After struggling to land charms as Ahri in Game Two and Three, Shiphtur switched over to Leblanc for the fourth game. Yazuki picked up Nasus to deal with ZionSpartan's scaling, and NydusHerMain's Fiddlesticks proved powerful, setting up engagements by ulting from brush. Shiphtur struggled to pin down a target, and Bischu's first-pick Ziggs sealed fights. Coast stalled at baron while ZionSpartan took TWZ's bottom inhibitor and appeared to gain some control of the game. They then chose to take baron at an awkward time and gave up not only the giant purple monster buff, but four kills, cementing The Walking Zed's lead. From there, it was only a matter of time before Yazuki and Bischu melted through Coast and took the game.
Bischu chose a somewhat questionable Jayce pick into Ahri as his team's final selection. The game opened with another blue buff invade by NintendudeX. Though he did not come away with the buff, his stall granted wizfujiiN a level lead over bobbyhankhill, and he and Daydreamin proceeded to dominate their lane. ZionSpartan avoided Kez's ganks top, and Shiptur's Ahri gave him an early lead with a well-timed roam. From there, all three lanes began to win handily, and the game turned into a repeat of the first of the series with The Walking Zed only coming away with a single kill onto NintendudeX and one turret. Though the game was a somewhat anticlimactic end to a long series, Coast proved themselves capable of controling games and worthy of their spot in the League of Legends Championship Series.
