All-Stars is finally over and all questions of regional strength have been answered with Korea coming out far on top. Despite their understanding of the game being on a level that thwarts all other regions, most of their success rooted from individually outplaying their opponents before that even came into play.
Today, we take a look on the individual performance and participation within the roles of the attending teams. Feel free to check out the rest of our All-Stars coverage by clicking the banner at the top of the feature.

KDA Stats

We've categorized the team KDA in this feature in such a way that we can clearly see who's more focused on teamfights. We feel this is better than having separated "Assist, Kill, and Deaths" stats due to varying quantity of games.
To no surprise, the champions of the tournament had by far the highest KDA, with OMG and Cloud 9 lagging behind. The second two stats indicate that individually, SKT T1 were able to outperform the other teams without even necessarily requiring group effort
As we can see, the team's involvement in kills collectively was the lowest for SKT T1, being that they have the lowest Assist / Kill total values. This was because they were able to defeat their opponents individually, thus not even requiring grouping to acquire a large amount of their kills. In contrast, OMG had by far the most team participation for their kills. OMG's aggression and grouping was the trademark of the Chinese playstyle, as shown by the statistics.

The most surprising thing most might find from these stats is that despite San appearing very flashy and solid in his games, his KDA as a marksman was much lower than SKT T1's Piglet. Three of the five positions of Taipei Assassins were the worst of any team, with the stand-out players for the team being Morning and their new jungler that swapped from Taipei Snipers, Winds.

Here is a graph we decided to make to exclusively determine team participation by role for every team. Surprisingly, PoohManDu and LemonNation have the lowest support participation, though likely due to individual outplays in their games as mentioned earlier.
Interestingly, despite the backlash on Pomelo, even if his participation relative to other teams was low, it was still higher than Bengi. Faker and Xiyang were almost dead even in kill participation with Xiyang finding the slight edge.
Though they didn't advance into the playoffs, Taipei Assassins found improvement in their jungling with Winds, as he had the highest kill participation of any jungler in the tournament for his team. The same award can be given to Jay, who's supporting the last remaining "original" member of Taipei Assassins during their Season 2 dominance, Bebe.
Champion Stats

It almost feels like we're back in the beginning of the Season 4 Spring Split because of how hotly contested Kassadin was again. However, Kassadin was not king in this chart. Kha'Zix takes the cake and has been a monstrous champion in international play since InSec's play in IEM Katowice.
There's a few champions where the rarity is quite surprising in relation to their power. Champions like Nidalee and Renekton didn't see much love while Twitch, for the first time in any recent tournament, had tied Lucian as a contested marksman champion.

Had Cloud 9 not attempted to utilize Zyra, she would have had a 100% win ratio over 4 games. PoohManDu ran Zyra four times and was able to win all four of those games with his team (which is no surprise, considering SKT won the tournament undefeated.)
While the ultra-safe and super popular Lucian only saw a 40% win rate, Vayne and especially Twitch found substantially more success in the tournament. Also, despite Kha'Zix being the most contested champion, he won less than half of his games sitting at a 40% win ratio, passed up by other jungle champions like Evelynn, Elise, and Lee Sin.
