The game's primary focus would center around mid lane, with the assistance of both junglers keeping the other from applying too much pressure. Uzi and Kmi were able to come out on top for most of this exchange.  Positive Energy had the advantage in the bottom lane, while PE's new jungler focused his efforts top lane and managed an early kill.  Positive Energy showed a stronger early-game showing, acquiring a dragon to end the first ten minutes.

There was a lot of map roaming as the game transitioned into mid-game, but there weren't many fights as a result.  Even with Royal Club having some deep warding, Royal Club were coming out ahead in skirmishes. Even though the advantage was in PE's hands, an overzealous engage on blue buff would ensure that they would no longer have the lead, and Royal Club would instantly swing back in the lead off that.

Positive Energy managed to do well early in the bottom lane, even against jungle interference.

Even after this blunder, Positive Energy were slightly ahead in gold and still tied in towers, but held no where near the advantage they had prior.  A fight was won by PE at 27 minutes, but when JOJO decided to body slam back in, he baited the rest of his team with him, allowing Royal Club to surmount a far larger lead and also grab some essential towers.

Royal Club proceeded to place deep wards in the river and prepare for baron, being the stronger team in the carry department.  Positive Energy did some pink ward hunting, but with a tower and Nct shoving their top lane in, Royal Club were able to acquire a baron.  It wasn't long after that where Royal Club were able to roll over Positive Energy, turning a solid early game into a bitter defeat.

Royal Club started out the game again with superior jungle control, with an early first blood coming out for Kmi with the help of Uzi against JOJO, who attempted to mimic's Uzi's pick last game. He then went ahead to pursue the top lane, being patient with a lane gank.  The constant 2v2's were shifted top lane, and Positive Energy would come out on top, putting Nct very far behind.

Nct attempted to counteract this by roaming, but was met by the counterroaming Aluka who quickly became a very fed and very scary Olaf.  Royal Club held their ground and kept ahead in gold and took dragons, but Positive Energy took initiative.  Kmi was starting to become an absolute monster on Lee Sin, and Royal Club were being very aggressive in their jungling approaches.

Positive Energy generally came out on top during their counterganks.

Royal Club almost threw the game with a twenty minute baron attmept, but with a solid Explosive Cask from Uzi, they were able to disengage with only one casualty and maintain their lead. Amazing Explosive Casks would continue to spell out victory for Royal Club and allow them to shove after cleaning up.  In a teamfight at 24 minutes, Royal Club were able to follow up with an actual functional baron attempt this time around.

Royal Club's dive coordination was looking better and better as the game continued onwards, and LeY's excellent kiting kept him alive against an ultra-fed Olaf.  With a final dive on the steps of Positive Energy's base, Royal Club were able to turn it around yet again and take the series 2-0.

LGD's games against iG would showcase the power of Ly's Riven.  First blood did end up going over to Kid's Caitlyn, however, and iG were able to put a lot of damage on the middle turret very early into the game.  LGD's roam was fairly overwhelming, and a heavy focus was set on taking the first tower, due to it not dropping quickly in the first 15 minutes.  The game was primarily a farm war while starving for turrets until midgame happened.

LGD were extremely relentless with their sieging attempts.

LGD's damage was very overwhelming due to Star and Styz, the primary damage threats, having absurd amounts of gold and a massive lead overall. iG were forced to play a very defensive game, with all of them hugging their middle turrets to stop the relentless siege from LGD.  This was especially hard due to the sidelanes shoving in LGD's favor too. The turtling couldn't last forever, however.

Eventually, LGD had enough with iG's turtling and ended up diving, bringing them to 10-2 at the 23 minute mark and with a massive tower lead at that.  On top of having the game in their hands the entire game, LGD had the superior late-game composition, which made the situation all the more impossible for iG to deal with.  After baron was picked up by LGD, there was no hope for iG and LGD started off the series with a very decisive win.

Kid decided to spice things up a bit this game and lock in the tournament's first Draven.  With this pick, iG were able to quickly kill off the top tower and deny Ly's previously unstoppable Riven.  Despite the denial and the huge farm disadvantage however, Ly managed to grab a 1v1 first blood on PDD. LGD grouped up to siege the middle turret past the 10 minute mark while PDD continued to get bullied.

A few skirmishes happened in the top jungle before LGD were able to take the middle tower, resulting in a huge deficit for Invictus Gaming as they were just outplayed in each of those fights. Even after a 4-0 lead, the abuse of PDD did not stop and LGD continued to roam top while Styz kept the wave shoved mid enough that split pushing was not possible in the other lanes.

iG couldn't catch a break in early skirmishes, and when they tried to turn it around...well, it didn't work out too well.

With their ability to pick during rotations, LGD was able to get very solid tower damage down, split across the inner turrets. There was no light at the end of the tunnel in sight for iG, as even if they were able to comeback, it'd be difficult against LGD's lategame power with their poke and assassinate composition. On top of that, no matter who was sent after Ly, his Riven was able to tear them up while he proceeded to apply lane pressure.

Invictus Gaming were in a position where they could only defensively ward, while LGD were loaded with offensive wards while wiping out iG's vision, meaning no picks could be made from iG.  LGD continued to pursue a 4-1 splitpush with Riven until Invictus Gaming fell under the pressure and could no longer keep themselves alive under the turret, resulting in the second 2-0 to end the second week of LPL.
