EDG came into this game as favorites after their performance last week while LGD's was rather lackluster.  However, their picks were a bit cocky, with Namei choosing his trademarked Twitch and Fzzf going LeBlanc support. EDG were almost playing a little too aggressively, but still managed to pulla  lead against their opponents and get the gold into the right hands.

EDG's weak bottom lane was the focus of camping for a large portion of the game.

LGD started pulling ahead by abusing the squishiness of Twitch and camping him with Leblanc not being a very good champ for peeling. Twenty minutes in, after catching two members of EDG out, LGD were able to force a baron and take it.  Namei's bravery knew no bounds as he attempted a flash ult for the baron steal, got killed off, and then bought a Sword of the Occult.

The game quickly escalated after EDG's inhibitor was taken out and EDG struggled to stand their grounds against the baron buffed LGD and their superior teamfighting composition.  After poking down EDG with Ziggs and Ezreal, the team went in and were able to secure the first victory against China's super team as well as their first victory in the LPL Spring split.

The theme of assassin junglers continued into game two with Quan on Kha'Zix and Styz favoring the hypercarry AD pick this time around. Lanes swapped 2v1 early, and LGD started the game off with first blood by blowing two flashes to flank U in the mid lane. LGD put heavy pressure top with a flank from Quan to ensure a fast tower top lane, trading for EDG's towers bottom.

LGD were able to pull into the lead once again by grabbing the game's first dragon and also having better scaling champions.  EDG were playing hyper-aggressively, finding kills in LGD's jungle and shoving bottom very hard as a team. Despite ClearLove being ahead in the jungle, Quan was still able to smite steal the second dragon of the game, which kept LGD even in gold even witha tower and kill deficit.

Quan was on top of his fighting game against ClearLove.

Flanks were the continual name of the game for EDG, using Annie to come around the corner for ganks and applying map pressure after catching their prey.   However, in a following teamfight, despite Fzzf locking up LGD's backline with tibbers, LGD were able to win a teamfight 4 for 1.  acquiring a dragon shortly after. After baron ran out, the fights were back in favor of EDG.

Even though EGD were very far ahead and had triple the turret count, LGD continued to have strong baron control. 40 minutes in, another baron wast aken by LGD, a bit too late perhaps. The baron helped LGD stall for a lot longer than naturally possible, but EDG were able to eventually break down their defenses and take the game, ending the series in 1-1.

World Elite had a fantastic showing last week, while the same couldn't really be said for previous LPL Summer LPL finalist Positive Energy.  The same history would be repeated today as Weixiao was playing a perfect bottom lane with Conan and the pair went 5-0 in just under ten minutes.  The game was looking to be a stomp at all corners of the map, with farm and gold advantages everywhere.

World Elite were able to take an uncontested baron before the 20 minute mark.

Before 15 minutes hit, World Elite had already acquired a dragon and 3 towers, while Positive Energy sat at 0. Positive Energy were barely able to grab some kills in a somewhat overzealous dive for World Elite, but Caomei was able to split push top and pull a huge lead onto Aluka. Most of the physical threats on Positive Energy were a non issue for World Elite, and WE built accordingly.

The game would end shortly after, where World Elite showed they can still pull off incredibly performances without Misaya. World Elite held full control of the game and were able to push the Nexus down in a very quick and decisive game one against Positive Energy.

A 5 on 5 level one teamfight would start the game off chaotically, with World Elite coming out on top having both the first blood and the second kill, while Positive Energy could only acquire one. Eventually, that one kill advantage escalated to a 3 kill advantage, and World Elite started the game off with a substantial gold lead.

Dragons and towers only further ensured World Elite's inevitable victory.  Positive Energy kept trying to fight when it was inevitable that they would meet defeat, and their only hope was JOJO holding off World Elite from pushing in with Ziggs' amazing waveclear.  It wasn't long before World Elite picked up a baron and pushed their dominating lead forward into a victory, further securing their perfect record in the LPL with their new lineup.
