Made in Thailand DreamHack bound

Made in Thailand will return to Jönköping, Sweden for the second time in order to compete for the HoN crown at DreamHack Winter 2013. The reigning G-League champion delivered a rout to their Thai rivals Turtle Master and therefore secured themselves a spot in the big tournament at the end of November.

Made in Thailand.Sorry Sorry has done it, they secured themselves a spot in history. The team around Peter_yedss5 is the first ever team from Thailand to attend the HoN tournament at DreamHack twice and only the second SEA team to have multiple DreamHack appearances under their belt. Only the Malaysian powerhouse Orange eSports can look at such an accomplishment, placing MiTH.s2y in elite company.

The road to Sweden was hyped, but in the end rather uneventful. Made in Thailand.Sorry Sorry just continued to play out of this world, just like they had done for most of the most recent G-League cycle. In that they scored 39 points, only lost a total of three maps and had little to no problems in the postseason. Their path to the G-League crown was clear and the bid for it was as decisive as it can get. After the rout in the Grand Finals against Orange eSports two things were clear: The Thai team would contend for the DreamHack spot and would also be the front-runner in that match, due to the recent struggles of TurS and the reemergence of MiTH.

Today, in the DreamHack Summer 2013 qualifier rematch, Made in Thailand.Sorry Sorry once again send a statement to the Thai competitors, the SEA region and the world. They are coming with a vengeance and are not to be triffled with. In straight sets they routed TurS and completely annihilated the shining G-League Champion of the first cycle. A more blatant display of dominance and the torch being passed from one G-League Champion to another is rare in eSports. Turtle Master couldn't get anything going and looked absolutely overmatched and outplayed - whatever MiTH.s2y threw at them.

The first match turned into a bloodbath with tianza getting his hands on his beloved Sand Wraith and DYIScor having the support player stat line of the day with his GPM and XPM well above 300 and seven kills to zero deaths. It was the typical lineup choice by Made in Thailand, putting TurS in a real bad spot. MiTH only allowed the Turtles four kills, while rampaging through the battlefield and racking up 24.

After that domination MiTH changed it's approach and went for a very obvious, but effective push strategy backing up the dreaded Balphagore/Demented Shaman combination with War Beast, Tempest and Torturer. It wasn't a blowout per se, but it wasn't a spectacular nailbiter either. Turtle Master tried to deal with the aggression and looked at points like they are able to break the siege, but the push was just too much for them to handle in the long haul.

That image didn't really change on the third map either, although MiTH.s2y went back to a more conventional lineup. It looked at first, that TurS might be in this match and able to push it to four maps, as carry player I`Ron` Nun had a real good game with Dampeer, but the burst potential of Pebbles and the relentless attacks of a farmed Scout were too strong. The Turtles couldn't get into the team fights as they wanted to, but had to witness tianza once again going through their lines and punishing every slight mistake. After a combined play time of 133 minutes the affair was closed and Made in Thailand.Sorry Sorry had secured themselves a DreamHack ticket for the second time straight.

Now they need to use the training opportunities of the third cycle to stay in shape, as teams like stayGreen await them in Sweden. They did good on their first appearance with plenty of close matches, but close matches are not going to cut it anymore. They are the sole representative of the SEA region and therefore the hopes of seven nations and the majority of the HoN community is resting on their shoulders.
