Manzano won his first major title and close to $400,000. Manzano played a very solid game holding the chip lead for most of the tournament and patiently picking his spots at the final table when his opponents made mistakes.
The winning hand at the Convention Center of the Sheraton WTC in São Paulo came as Manzano got check-called holding 5c6c on a 3d2s2c7c board. The 4d gave him his straight, and to his luck, Neto decided to look his all-in up with As8d - ace high.
A clearly disappointed Neto, cause he had let down the hopes for Brazil, had to settle for second and BRL$352,760, nearly $215,000.
