Capcom has just revealed more details about Arjun, the next DLC character coming to Street Fighter 6, confirming his 13 October release date and showcasing gameplay for the Indian fighter.
Arjun has a massive frame and broad build, with many fans comparing his appearance and fighting style to Ryu. Arjun also fights using bare-knuckle yoga techniques, combining yogic breathing with powerful strikes. Apart from his gameplay, Capcom unveiled his secondary outfit.

What is Arjun's fighting style and gameplay?
While Arjun lacks speed, he is a powerful fighter who relies on projectiles, traps and most of all, recoverable damage (also known as grey life) to pressure opponents.
Many of his special moves build recoverable damage even when blocked, allowing him to gradually turn an opponent’s health gauge grey before converting it into real damage in one big swoop. However, grey life can recover over time if left untouched, meaning Arjun must maintain pressure to make the most of it.
Moves such as Arm of Justice and Cruel Shoulder both deal recoverable damage, even when blocked. Meanwhile, Breathing Ring allows Arjun to send a projectile towards his opponent from afar, while Divine Pillar raises an earth spire from the ground that can be used to trap opponents.
He also has a defensive move, Indomitable Defense, which allows incoming strikes to be countered and reflected back at the opponent, dealing recoverable damage. The move can also deflect projectiles, although it does not launch a counterattack against them.
His Level 1 Super Art, Howling Destruction, gives Arjun invincibility briefly at the start before unleashing a rapid series of attacks, a particularly effective move against airborne opponents.
His Level 2 Super Art, Instant Oblivion, launches the opponent away, giving Arjun an opportunity to set up a Divine Pillar.
Finally, his Level 3 Super Art, Yaksha’s Order, disorients the opponent before Arjun delivers a devastating cinematic attack.
Who is Arjun in Street Fighter 6?
The next Street Fighter 6 character, Arjun, was formerly a police officer in India with a ride-or-die partner whom he would “take a bullet for”. However, his partner was eventually murdered and Arjun was framed for the crime, turning him into a man seeking vengeance as he searches for justice and the truth behind the killing.
How to get Arjun in Street Fighter 6
Arjun is a paid DLC character arriving on 13 October.
Players who have purchased the Year 4 Character Pass will automatically receive Arjun when he releases. He is the second character in the Year 4 lineup, following Yasmine, who was released last month. Highly-anticipated Final Fantasy icon Tifa will arrive after Arjun, followed by Bosch to round out the lineup. If you are only interested in picking up Arjun, you can also purchase him individually using Fighter Coins in-game.
Arjun will also launch with a secondary outfit that “reflects the ideal version of himself having escaped his life on the run and his days as a police officer”. You can obtain this outfit by maxing out his Acquisition Gauge in Avatar Arcade Mode, or by purchasing it with Fighter Coins.
