Umamusume Pretty Derby's September roadmap add Yamanin Zephyr, Nakayama Festa, and Wonder Acute

Three new Trainees and eight Support cards are coming to Umamusume: Pretty Derby throughout September.

September is looking packed for Umamusume: Pretty Derby, as Cygames has unveiled its comprehensive global roadmap for the month. We will see three new Trainees–Yamanin Zephyr, Nakayama Festa, and Wonder Acute–alongside eight new Support cards. There will also be a pair of Support card reruns and seven events set to unfold over the next few weeks.

We break down all the upcoming Umamusume banners and events for September below.

Three new Trainees are coming to Umamusume in September

Yamanin Zephyr

Banner duration: 6:00 AM 1 September to 5:59 AM 10 September, 2026

Yamanin Zephyr (Fluttertail Spirit) is a Pace Chaser who specialises in Mile and Medium distances, though she can also be flexed into the Sprint category, where she holds a B grade. She prefers racing on Turf and has bonus stat growth for Speed (10%), Guts (10%), and Wit (10%).

Her unique skill allows her to very slightly increase her acceleration continuously for a long duration when she is positioned toward the front of the pack during the latter half of the final corner, after biding her time during the first half of the race.

The unique skill is relatively weak but works well with her Pace Chaser ability. The skill becomes much stronger when she is exactly in 2nd place at the time of activation and when she is close enough to the 1st-place runner during the second half of the final corner.

Her Innate Skills are Shifting Gears, Aspire, and Long Shot. Her Potential Skills are Mile Corners O, Changing Gears, Corner Acceleration O, and Ambitious Breeze. Meanwhile, her Career Skills comprise Unyielding Spirit, Spring Runner O, Summer Runner O, Fall Runner O, Winter Runner O, Slipstream, and Shrewd Step.

Nakayama Festa

Banner duration: 6:00 AM 15 September to 5:59 AM 23 September, 2026

Nakayama Festa is a solid Pace Chaser and Late Surger, with a preference for Turf tracks and Medium distances, plus a decent B grade for Long-distance races. She has bonus stat growth for Speed (10%), Stamina (10%), and Power (10%).

Her unique skill increases her velocity when attempting to overtake another runner on the final corner or later, provided she is well-positioned with 400m or less remaining. The skill complements both her Pace Chaser and Late Surger styles, but it becomes much stronger if she enters the race as an unfavoured runner (around 5th favorite or worse).

Her Innate Skills also help boost her final sprint to the finish line, with Risky Business, All I’ve Got, and Gambler. Her Potential Skills are Late Surger Straightaways O, Nothing Ventured, Medium Straightaways O, and Risk-Maker.

Wonder Acute

Banner duration: 6:00 AM 23 September to 5:59 AM 4 October, 2026

Wonder Acute brings a slight variety to the new Trainee lineup. She is another Pace Chaser who excels on Dirt tracks and in Mile and Medium distances. She has bonus stat growth for Guts (15%) and Wit (15%).

Her unique skill moderately increases her velocity when she is at the front of the pack with 300m remaining. This skill is moderately enhanced during Dirt races and when she is close behind the leader.

Wonder Acute’s Innate Skills are Pace Chaser Savvy O, Unyielding Spirit, and Down in the Dirt O. Meanwhile, her Potential Skills are Mile Straightaways O, Big-Sisterly, Solid Steps, and Dancer in the Dirt.

Her skill combination is fairly simple, with all of her skills complementing each other well. This makes her an easy pick for players looking for a capable Dirt-track Uma.

New Festival alts for Tamamo Cross and Inari One

A pair of Autumn Festival alts for Tamamo Cross and Inari One will arrive, with the banner running from 6:00 AM on 7 September to 5:59 AM on 19 September, 2026.

Festival Tamamo Cross

Similar to her base version, Festival Tamamo Cross is a great Uma for all Pace styles except Front Runner, and excels in Medium and Long distances. She performs best on Turf tracks. However, her stat growth bonuses focus more on Speed than Stamina, with a distribution of Speed (14%), Stamina (8%), and Guts (8%).

Her unique skill moderately increases her velocity after two skills are activated mid-race. The skill becomes even more effective if two additional skills are activated while it is in effect.

Autumn Festival Tamamo Cross has Up-Tempo, Ramp Up, and Head-On as her Innate Skills, with other Potential Skills including Wet Conditions O, Killer Tunes, Tail Held High, and It’s On!.

Festival Inari One

Autumn Festival Inari One also has similar stats to her base version, with aptitude for both Turf and Dirt tracks. She also has a well-rounded racing style, excelling in End Runner, followed by B grades in both Pace Chaser and Late Surger. Her preferred distances are Medium and Long.

The biggest difference lies in her stat growth bonuses, with a greater emphasis on Speed and an additional Wit bonus. The distribution is as follows: Speed (14%), Power (8%), and Wit (8%).

Her unique skill increases her velocity when she is positioned toward the back of the pack on a late-race corner and enters the final straight after pressuring another runner. Her velocity then increases further with each runner she passes on a late-race corner.

This version comes with Straightaway Spurt, Inside Scoop, and Oi Racecourse O as her Innate Skills, with the ability to gain I Can See Right Through You, Innate Experience, Rapid Gain, and Encroaching Shadow as Potential Skills.

New Christmas alts for Vodka and Daiwa Scarlet

A pair of Christmas alts will arrive for Vodka and Daiwa Scarlet, with the banner running from 6:00 AM on 7 September to 5:59 AM on 19 September, 2026.

Christmas Vodka

The Christmas version of Vodka is very similar to her base version. She specialises in Turf, with an aptitude for Mile and Medium distances. Her preferred style is Late Surger, though she can also be flexed into the Pace Chaser style.

The main difference lies in her stat growth, with greater priority given to Speed rather than Power. This version has a distribution of Speed (20%) and Guts (10%).

Her unique skill increases her velocity when she is positioned in the middle of the pack on a downhill section during the middle or later stages of the race, granting an additional speed boost after the downhill section. Her acceleration is further increased when racing at Tokyo Racecourse.

Her Innate Skills are Nimble Navigator, Medium Corners O, and Pedal to the Metal, with potential skills including Full Throttle, No Stopping Me!, Late Surger Straightaways O, and Top Gear.

Christmas Daiwa Scarlet

Christmas Daiwa Scarlet excels on Turf and is suited to both Front Runner and Pace Chaser styles. While her base version has an A grade in Mile, Medium, and Long distances, the Christmas alt's Mile aptitude is slightly lower at B.

The Christmas version also places greater emphasis on Speed rather than Guts, with a stat growth distribution of Speed (20%) and Wit (10%).

Her unique skill moderately increases her velocity when she is positioned toward the front of the pack on a straight during the second half of the race. The effect is enhanced if she is in the lead and close to the runner behind her.

Her Innate Skills are Moxie, Feature Act, and Firm Resolve, while her Potential Skills are Long Straightaways O, Restless, Long Corners O, and Can’t Even Catch My Shadow.
