What is LEGO Skylines?
LEGO Skylines is a city building game in the vein of Sim City and Cities: Skylines, tasking players with building up their own dream city from scratch. This time around, they’ll be doing it in LEGO form. Players will start with a single plot, build up their first house, and eventually grow to manage neighbourhoods and sprawling cities.
It won’t be easy to manage all of these Lego folk, however. Players have to ensure that their citizens have access to basic necessities like roads, electricity, food, and water. After covering their bases, they’ll also need to create cosy homes for their citizens, and add recreation in the form of parks, or businesses in the form of storefronts.
Cities can feature museums, sports arenas, or simple bakeries. More buildings and services will be unlocked as the city expands, increasing the happiness of citizens and granting players more ways to customise their city. All of the buildings and decorations will be LEGO themed, as well.
LEGO Skylines will be developed by Iceflake Studios, in partnership with Lego Group and Paradox Interactive. The game has no release date yet.
