Killing monsters and building houses–you really can have it all.
Twitch streamer Ben “CohhCarnage” Cassel has unveiled Emberville, an all-new action-RPG with pixel art, known voice actors, and life-sim gameplay elements. The video game is under development at Cygnus Cross, a studio co-owned by CohhCarnage, who is also “wearing a bunch of hats” while developing the game.
CohhCarnage reveals new game Emberville
Twitch streamer CohhCarnage dropped a new trailer for developer Cygnus Cross’ first game Emberville during a stream this week. The eye-catching trailer features vocals from the game’s two newly-confirmed voice actors: Doug Cockle (The Witcher series) and Alex Jordan (Cyberpunk 2077), the latter of whom also serves as the game’s voice director. More actors will be included in the game’s cast, as per the streamer, but their identities were not disclosed.
The game is described as “Diablo Lite meets Stardew Valley,” with retro pixel art and life-sim gameplay elements. The game is set to be fully-voiced, and will see players dive into a deep combat system with skills, weapons, and combos. Players will also be tasked with rebuilding a town and making a life for themselves, and yes, that involves planting crops in a farm.
Here’s the game’s Steam description:
Tired and confused, you awake engulfed in darkness, in a prison that appears to have no end, known as the Vitromotus. Your memories are clouded, but your desire for freedom allows you to endure. With nothing but your wits and might, you carve your way out with determination, eager to embrace the light of the sun.
Yet, as despair slowly consumes your spirit, a ray of hope shines forward. Imprisoned like countless others, the denizens of a once thriving town, now ravaged by vicious forces, await your aid. As you rescue them from various, terrible fates, they will lend their skills and help you rebuild their homes. You will learn their trades, secrets, and dreams while assisting them in their many quests. And perhaps, in time, become a legend in the chronicles of their land: Emberville.
Emberville is set to launch in Summer 2026 in early access on PC via Steam.
