Need For Speed Unbound headlines PlayStation Plus additions for January 2026

Here is what's in store for PlayStation Plus users in January.

Sony has announced three new games coming to PlayStation Plus in its January lineup. Premium and Extra subscribers can now hop in the driver’s seat for a thrilling ride, immerse themselves in Disney nostalgia, and go ham in a mining adventure with the new year additions.

These games will be available for PlayStations Plus users from 6 January to 2 February.

All of January’s PlayStation Plus Game Catalog additions

The PlayStation Plus Game Catalog offers a wide selection of games for Extra and Premium users, and cycles in new titles to experience on a monthly basis, lasting for up to a year or longer on the catalog.

Here are January’s additions:

  • Need For Speed Unbound | PS5
  • Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed | PS4, PS5
  • Core Keeper | PS4, PS5

Note that PlayStation Plus users only have until January 5 to add Lego Horizon Adventures, Killing Floor 3, The Outlast Trials, Synduality Echo of Ada and Neon White to their game library.

A closer look at the new titles for PlayStation Plus

For the new year, PlayStation lets Plus users indulge in some high-end street racing with Need For Speed: Unbound, the latest and 25th installment in the large NFS franchise. The game features similar and improved systems from the previous Need for Speed: Heat installment, and a new story mode where you race to win The Grand.

Make sure to also be prepared for pure nostalgia in the Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, the remastered version of Epic Mickey from 2010. Playing as Mickey Mouse, you venture through the Wasteland–a realm of forgotten Disney characters–and use your magic to bring dusty characters back to life. Many have called it a phenomenal remake, with tons of quality-of-life changes. And if you weren't a Disney kid growing up, it’s still rich enough for most to enjoy.

Core Keeper might be a lesser prominent name on this new-addition list, but it earned a broader positive review. If you are a fan of Terraria and Stardew Valley, then say no more-Core Keeper will likely be perfect for you. You can play solo or with up to eight friends to dig around and explore the caverns. Build resources, kill enemies, and discover new biomes and materials.
