The addictive shoot ‘em up game Vampire Survivors is getting its first official spin-off next year, set in the expansive world of Warhammer. The spin-off is called Warhammer Survivors, built in the same engine as the original game and featuring characters from the Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer: Age of Sigmar universes.

Warhammer Survivors announced, spins out of Vampire Survivors
Warhammer Survivors is a fast-paced roguelite game built in the same engine as Vampire Survivors, and developed in partnership with the original game’s developer poncle. This time, Auroch Digital is taking the reins to bring the worlds of Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer: Age of Sigmar to this survivors’ game.
Players will be able to choose their favoured universe to play in and fight in areas like an abandoned Space Hulk, the plains of Aqshy, and more. Each stage features unique enemy factions and secrets to uncover, so players will have plenty of reason to explore and replay stages.
The game’s playable roster consists of well-known champions from Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer: Age of Sigmar. According to a Steam post, these characters include:
- Malum Caedo, stalwart Ultramarine Sternguard Veteran and Scourge of the Forges of Corruption in Boltgun.
- The hardened Cadian Shock Trooper, Kozlowski.
- The indomitable Space Marine Intercessor, Brother Luca.
- Neave Blacktalon, living weapon of the God-King Sigmar.
- The Stormcast Eternal Vanquisher, Sharynn Azurwath, master of the Celestial Greatblade.
- The legendary Slayer, Gotrek Gurnisson, carving a path of red ruin through the Mortal Realms and seeking his doom.
Different characters will wield different weapons and starting stats, so players will want to pick the champions who best suit their playstyle. As for weapons, there are plenty of those to choose from as well; players can smite enemies with Chainswords, Bolters, or even Citadel Nuln Oil paint.
These weapons can also be altered or upgraded with power-ups. In Warhammer Survivors, players will fight to vanquish creatures like the ravenous hordes of Skaven, the Tyranid swarm and its monstrous Xenos Bioforms, among the myriad of enemies from various Warhammer factions.
While dying will happen often and regularly in the game’s endless battles, players will be able to progress by growing their roster of heroes, weapons, abilities, and rare relics. This will ensure that their following runs feel fresh, and last a tad longer.
Warhammer Survivors will launch sometime in 2026.
