Once Human x Palworld Crossover announced at Tokyo Game Show 2025

It’s not every day you see a Cattiva rubbing shoulders with a Chefosaurus Rex.

Palworld’s Pals are stepping into the post-apocalyptic chaos of Once Human. At Tokyo Game Show 2025, Netease Games and Pocketpair revealed a crossover that few saw coming: Once Human and Palworld are officially colliding. The crossover goes live on 30 October, and it’s packed with new twists, an exclusive map, and mechanics that will keep players experimenting for weeks.

During this time, players will encounter fan-favourite Pals like Cattiva, Chillet, and Chillet Ignis in a world usually haunted by Deviations and Meta-Humans.

The announcement won’t just involve skins and cameos; instead, this is a full-scale event that mixes the survival sandbox of Once Human with the creature-collecting energy of Palworld. To top it off, a handful of mystery Pals will only be available on the event’s dedicated island map.

Crossover will feature a new limited-time island

The crossover introduces a limited-time map built to fuse the two games’ identities. Once Human’s eerie landscapes will blend with Palworld-style biomes, creating a setting where Pals and Deviations cross paths. Players can expect unusual encounters: think the towering Chefosaurus Rex clashing with Pals in unexpected ways.

A standout feature is the transformation system, which lets players take on the form of different Pals. Exploring as a Pal shifts the perspective on Once Human’s world entirely, adding playful chaos to the survival grind. Every collaboration Pal can be unlocked without cost, keeping the focus on experimentation and creativity. The event also brings a set of limited cosmetics, from outfits to functional gear.

Those walking the halls of TGS 2025 between 25–28 September can see the crossover up close at Hall 08-C03. The booth will have opportunities for fans to take part in activities, and rewards for attendees.

A new Scenario named Deviation: Survive, Capture, Preserver is also now on early access.

NetEase also confirmed that the new Scenario, “Deviation: Survive, Capture, Preserve,” is now in early access, with the full launch lining up with the crossover on 30 October.

Lunar revelry and the Lord of Moonlight

Outside of the crossover, Once Human has also rolled out the Visional Wheel Season 2: Lunar Revelry event. Under the Blood Moon anomaly, the Lord of Moonlight emerges, capable of stealing a Meta-Human’s identity and forcing them into a Lunarspawn form.

Players who lose themselves must track down and defeat their doppelganger to win back their name and appearance.

The tension builds even further with the Trial of Misfortune, a global co-op event starting on 29 September. Here, players from around the world will unite in Conquest Zones, working through seven rounds of large-scale trials. Victories earn Moonlight Essence, which can alter the abilities of enemy bosses in rival zones, sometimes making fights easier, sometimes harder.

The October updates don’t end there. New weapons, suits, and mods are being added, alongside 13 fresh Morphed Deviations to encounter. Meanwhile, Once Human’s spin-off RaidZone is being refined, with adjustments to its airdrop and weapon systems.

The Once Human × Palworld event launches on 30 October 2025.
