ESL One Birmingham 2026-Xtreme make the Top 4 as Spirit, Falcons, and MOUZ fall

Xtreme Gaming survived two elimination matches in one day to advance to the Top 4 at Birmingham.

The action is heating up in the ESL One Birmingham 2026 Playoffs, as China's Xtreme Gaming have secured at least a Top 4 finish after surviving two elimination matches against MOUZ and Team Spirit. Reigning The International (TI) champions Team Falcons have also been knocked out at the hands of PARIVISION, who will next face Aurora Gaming for the final spot in the Top 4.

Here's how all the action in Day 6 of ESL One Birmingham 2026 went down:

Xtreme reverse sweep MOUZ to kick off Day 6

The first lower bracket showdown of the Playoffs saw Xtreme take on MOUZ. Many expected MOUZ to walk away with the victory, as they had a perfect start to the Group Stage and finished third in a tightly-contested Group A with a 8-6 record while Xtreme barely qualified for the Playoffs with a 6-8 standing. However, the Chinese squad managed to pull off a 2-1 reverse sweep behind stellar play from superstar carry player Wang “Ame” Chunyu.

MOUZ were on fire to start the series, stomping Xtreme to the tune of a 38-12 kill lead in 33 minutes of action. Nai Zheng “MidOne” Yeik on Sand King led the way with 16 kills and 14 assists, with Remco “Crystallis” Arets on Monkey King adding 10 kills and 14 assists and Miroslav “BOOM” Bičan on Largo pitching in with nine kills and 15 assists. All three of MOUZ's core players also gave up just one death apiece in the series opener.

With his team under threat of elimination, Ame showed out on Weaver in the 41-minute game two to force the series to a deciding game three. The Chinese squad notably took the lead from the get-go and never looked back, with Ame pacing his team's 39-23 kill lead with a stellar 15 kills and 15 assists on two deaths.

After that one-sided game two, MOUZ seemed deflated while Xtreme's momentum only continued to build up. The Chinese squad routed their opponents in 47 minutes to secure the 2-1 reverse sweep and advance to the lower bracket quarterfinals off of stellar play from their three core players.

Cheng “NothingToSay” Jin Xiang on Leshrac fueled Xtreme's 39-10 kill lead in the closeout game with 16 kills and 16 assists against five deaths. Ame also had a perfect 11-kill, 12-assist performance on Monkey King while Jing “Xxs” Lin on Brewmaster put up a clean five-kill, 19-assist showing of his own.

PARIVISION sweep Falcons out of Birmingham

The second match of the day then saw a clash between reigning TI champions Falcons and PARIVISION. While both teams had their fair share of struggles in the Group Stage, Falcons finished with a better record at 9-5 while PARIVISION only had a 6-8 record and only qualified for the Playoffs after going through tiebreakers. None of that mattered in the big stage, however, as PARIVISION looked dominant in a 2-0 sweep.

PARIVISION came out swinging to start the series with an easy 34-minute win in game one, including a lopsided 30-6 kill lead. Volodymyr “No[o]ne” Minenko on Leshrac showed out with 14 kills and 13 assists on just one death while Alan “Satanic” Gallyamov on Naga Siren added 10 kills and nine assists against two deaths.

Game two was another one-sided affair, with PARIVISION catching Falcons unawares with a last-pick Broodmother for Satanic. Despite their best efforts to mount a comeback, Falcons could do little to stop PARIVISION from claiming the 2-0 series sweep in 31 minutes of action. Satanic showed out with a perfect 14-kill, 12-assist performance to pace his team's 35-12 kill lead in the closeout game while No[o]one had another stellar showing on Leshrac with nine kills and 12 assists on two deaths.

Xtreme outlast Spirit to make the Top 4

The day then closed with the first lower bracket quarterfinals match between Xtreme and Spirit, who were knocked down to the lower bracket after losing in the upper bracket semifinals to Team Yandex. Xtreme showed incredible resilience in their second hard-fought series of the day, pulling off another 2-1 reverse sweep capped off by a 73-minute thriller in game three to secure their spot in the Top 4.

Spirit struck first with a comfortable 42-minute win in game one behind a well-executed mid game timing spearheaded by Illya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk's Alchemist. Yatoro finished with a clean seven kills and nine assists to fuel Spirit's 24-19 kill lead while Magomed “Collapse” Khalilov on Primal Beast added six kills and 12 assists on two deaths.

Xtreme were quick to strike back in game two, where they punished a greedy draft from Spirit to take the win after 41 minutes and force the series to a decider. NothingToSay was the star of the show in game two, putting up 13 kills and 14 assists on two deaths as Leshrac out of his team's 33-16 kill lead.

Much to the delight of the crowd watching live at the bp pulse LIVE Arena, the day closed with a 73-minute late game thriller as both sides fought tooth and nail to keep their tournament hopes alive. In the end, Xtreme edged out Spirit to secure their second 2-1 reverse sweep of the day and advance to the Top 4.

Xtreme held the lead from the laning stage through to the mid game, until Spirit started to claw things back as Yatoro's Morphling came online. A stalemate then ensued as both sides scored key pickoffs and won big teamfights over control of key objectives, though Xtreme would break the deadlock as their lineup reached critical mass after the game clock ticked past the hour mark. Wtih Ame on Beastmaster, NothingToSay on Sand King, and Xxs on Slardar, Xtreme had more than enough disables and damage output to make short work of a late game Morphling.

Ame led the way in game three with 15 kills and 14 assists on seven deaths, Xxs added 14 kills and 15 assists on three deaths, while NothingToSay had 10 kills and 22 assists against six deaths.
