1win are bound to a TI debut

1win made a full upper bracket run to secure the single ticket available in the Eastern European qualifiers for The International 2024 (TI13).

Formed at the end of 2023 and signed only in February this year by 1win, the rather young line-up delivered the upset in the Eastern European qualifiers for TI13. EEU got two teams directly invited to the most important tournament of the year. Team Spirit and BetBoom Team have been granted a free ticket to Copenhagen based on their results at the third-party tournaments held thus far this year.

For 1win, the new year started slowly with no major qualifier victories or any notable results. When they finally clinched a ticket to a LAN tournament, a visa mishmash had their slot revoked. 1win missed ESL One Birmingham in April and also lost the battle for a slot at Riyadh Masters 2024.

TI13 regional qualifiers were their last hope, but the competition was looking fierce with Virtus.pro, 9Pandas, and the revamped NAVI roster with Artem "Yuragi" Golubiev in the carry position also eyeballing at the only one ticket available in EEU.

However, none of the front runners managed to stay in the upper bracket. VP and NAVI made early exits in the lower bracket first rounds while 9Pandas where the only ones able to bounce back from the elimination rounds.

Even so, once they reached the best-of-five grand finals, 9Pandas found themselves outplayed and even outdrafted by the 1win youngsters who took a clean 3-0 victory to qualify for TI13.

The International 2024 will mark not only the organization’s debut at the pinnacle Dota 2 tournament but also the TI debut for the entire roster.
