What should you be watching in the Dota 2 scene this week? The DreamLeague Season 22 closed qualifiers will occur throughout the week for seven regions.
On the heels (quite literally nipping the heels) of the BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 closed qualifiers coming to an end, DreamLeague Season 22 closed qualifiers have begun.
Closed qualifiers are being held in seven regions across the globe; North America, South America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, China, Southeast Asia, and MENA.
Twelve teams from regional qualifiers will clinch a spot for DreamLeague Season 22.
- Three teams each from Western Europe and Eastern Europe
- Two teams from China
- One team each from Southeast Asia, MENA, North America, and South America
A total of 16 teams will gather next month in bootcamps in Europe to participate at DL Season 22 for a share of the $1,000,000 prize pool and 18,550 EPT points. At this point with no DPC, many expect that the EPT points will be critical for participating in ESL's LANs and might be the biggest factor in determining The International 2024 invites.
DreamLeague Season 22 will be followed by an ESL One LAN tournament hosted in Birmingham in the second part of April. The last time ESL One was in the English city was in 2019 when Team Secret took the championship title, trophy, and lion's share of the $300,000 prize pool after besting Evil Geniuses 3:2 in the grand finals. Another ESL One LAN event was scheduled for March 2020, but was canceled due to the CoronaVirus Pandemic. That event was rescheduled to online only.
