Valve reveal the date for the release of Dota 2 patch 7.33

It has been a long and winding road with Dota 2 patch 7.32, and even though patch 7.33 is a few days away, at least we have a release date from Valve.

It feels like Dota 2 patch 7.32, which is the patch on which TI11 was played, has been with us forever. Through its duration, a lot of speculations were made as to when patch 7.33 would be arriving, with the most recent one being after the end of the Division I Leagues of the 2023 DPC Winter Tour.

But all those speculations can now be put to bed as we finally have an official release date from Valve on the release of patch 7.33.

The magic day is the 6th of March 2023, a day after the end of the Lima Major. Based on past experiences, it will be sometime between 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm PST (GMT-8). Hopefully, the patch will be everything the professional and pub players expect – massive changes to the meta with revamped gold and experiences formulas, map changes and maybe even a new building in place of Outposts. The update is also most likely to feature the new hero, Muerta, although nothing on those lines has been mentioned in the announcement.

Why has this road felt long and winding? Because Dota 2 patch 7.32 is on route to become the longest patch in recent Dota 2 history. It will be a 195 days long when it is finally replaced.

The announcement also includes discussion about supporters club sale and the fantasy game for the Lima Major.

As the Major approaches, show your fan pride and unlock custom equippables by purchasing your favorite team's Supporters Club, now 75% off until the end of the Winter Tour. As always, 50% of every Supporters Club sale goes directly to the team.

With the conclusion of the regional leagues and the start of the Major, Fantasy has been adjusted for the different format. As with the previous Majors, Player Card packs now contain only players from Major-qualified teams, and Fantasy will run daily instead of weekly. If you're new to Fantasy or just need a refresher, check out this Fantasy rundown from the start of the Tour.

While there will be fantasy enthusiasts happy about it, majority of the community will be looking forward to the arrival of the new Dota 2 patch after the end of the Lina Lima Major.
