BOOM Esports seem to be going full reconstruction mode as they release a third player from the roster in less than a week.
The post-TI11 shuffle is in full swing, and especially in Southeast Asia, the teams are wasting no time in making big moves ahead of the next Dota Pro Circuit year. Regarded as one of the most stable SEA teams in the season leading to TI11, BOOM Esports are now down to just two players after parting ways with their captain, Rolen "skem" Ong.
BOOM Esports were first from their region to secure a spot at the pinnacle Dota 2 tournament via DPC points. Their nearly flawless run through the Southeast Asia DPC regional league earned them 1482 points and a ticket to TI11, but unfortunately for them and their fans, the group stage matches in Singapore went from bad to worse and only a three-way tiebreaker had them saved from early elimination.
Carrying on the momentum found in the tiebreakers, BOOM were able to survive another do-or-die situation in the first lower bracket round and delivered one of the biggest upsets of TI11 by eliminating the defending champions, Team Spirit. However, they were sent packing in the next round, by PSG.LGD and following the 9th-12th finish at TI11, roster changes are on the menu.
Skem is the third player released from the team over the past few days. Prior to his departure, BOOM have also waved goodbye to their carry player, Souliya "JaCkky" Khoomphetsavong, and to their potion 4 support, Timothy "TIMS" Randrup.

Per Valve’s updated roster lock rules, BOOM Esports and their former players have until December 9th to make the final arrangements for the next competitive year. There is no word where Skem, TIMS, and JaCkky will end up, nor who will be replacing them on the BOOM Esports roster.
