ESL One Summer 2021 event to come right after the AniMajor

ESL One keep the Dota 2 action going and the teams in shape during the break between the final Major of the Dota Pro Circuit and The International 10 with a $400,000 tournament running June 16-20.

A total of 12 teams will duke it out for the title and a share of the prize pool. According to the official announcement made by ESL One during the last day of DPC Europe upper division broadcast, the tournament will feature directly invited teams, but it will also give a shot to those who want to test their strength via open and closed qualifiers rounds.

Only one spot is up for grabs through the qualifier process. The open qualifier single elimination brawl will be held next week between May 25-26, with slots available for closed qualifiers. The two winners will join two other directly invited teams to the closed qualifiers and will battle May 27-28 in a double elimination bracket for the one slot to the event.

Those interested to sign up for ESL One Summer 2021 open qualifiers can do so HERE.

Although it isn’t mentioned in the ESL One official announcement, the whole tournament will most likely be held in an online format, as it’s scheduled to start just three days after the WePlay Animajor concludes. None of the directly invited teams have been revealed just yet, so stay tuned for more information!
