BTS Pro Series Season 5: Americas wrapped up with 4 Zoomers claiming the title at the end of a gruelling best-of-five series against Undying.
While the top teams from South and North America are making the final preparations for the upcoming ONE Esports Singapore Major, those who didn’t manage to secure a qualifier place had the opportunity for a last big battle before the next Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) is set to begin.
BTS Pro Series Season 5: Americas featured a total of 16 invited teams to fight across three weeks for a share of the $40,000 prize pool. There was no reward for those who finished the tournament in the bottom eight and it came as a surprise to see DPC upper division caliber teams being eliminated early from the BTS Pro Series Season 5. Simply TOOBASED, who actually had a clear 7-0 run in the DPC NA lower division and managed to promote for Season 2 upper division, were eliminated on the back of a single victory in the group stage at the BTS event; Black N Yellow, who kept their spot in the DPC upper division, have also failed to make it out of the groups now, so did the likes of Arkosh Gaming and Infamous.
At the opposite pole, 4 Zoomers and Undying claimed the top place in their respective groups and proceeded to clean playoff upper bracket runs until they eventually clashed in the finals. Undying made very quick work of 4 Zoomers in the upper bracket finals, taking a 2-0 victory, with both matches going down in under 30 minutes. However, 4Zoomers bounced back from the lower bracket duel with NoPing e-sports and were ready to take full revenge.
They started the grand finals with a carry Alchemist, who pumped out just one Aghnaim’s Scepter for his mid lane Leshrac and went straight for a fighting build, helping his team to snowball. Heading into the second game, Undying matched their adversaries’ fast tempo game plan and managed to actually outpaced them with a mid lane Death Prophet. However, they weren’t able to keep the same aggressive stance going into the third game, and after being pummeled by a Lone Druid - Dragon knight Terrorblade trio core, they also got dismantled in the last game of the series with a very similar line-up.

- 3rd and 4th place teams from each group advance to the lower bracket of the playoffs
- Remaining teams from each group are eliminated
