EPIC League Season 3 crowns Division 1 and 2 champions

EPIC League Season 3 has come to a close with Vikin.gg and Puckchamp taking Division 1 and 2 titles respectively.

The third season of EPIC League has concluded for both divisions. In Division 1, both  Vikin.gg and Team Spirit had a flawless run in the tournament until the upper bracket finals when they were forced to go head-to-head. Obviously, that meant that one team's record would be broken while the other progressed to the grand finals.

In this case, it was Team Spirit that claimed the favorable outcome. In a 2:0 sweep they overpowered the European team. The first game didn't come easy. 53 minutes of gameplay with swings in leads and advantages had both teams (and the audience) on the edge of their seats. The second game was much easier with an overpowered Mars and Doom assaulting Vikin.gg.

Sent to the lower brackets, Vikin.gg regained their confidence and stride, besting High Coast Esports 2:1 to exact revenge on Team Spirit for the grand finals.

Team Spirit took the first game off of Vikin.gg in a relatively one-sided affair. It almost seemed that the upper bracket final results might be repeated. But Vikin.gg took their fate into their own hands and turned the tables. They absolutely shellacked Team Spirit in the second match with an 18:1 kill score and 22-minute game. They then continued to dominate with two more fairly easy wins to take the title.

Meanwhile, in Division 2, the CIS team Puckchamp has been gaining much momentum and attention in recent weeks. After being served a FF win to start things out when  Hellbear Smashers decided to withdraw from the event, they went on to win every single series, dropping only one game to Team Unique. They ended in style with a 2:0 sweep in the grand finals against Prosti Esli featuring  Pavel "9pasha" Khvastunov.
