Thrilling end in SEA week 2 of DPC 2021 Season 1

The SEA region continues to deliver in the DPC 2021 Season 1 as the second week of play ends with a mega-creep comeback.

The SEA continues to be a region to watch if what you looking for as a fan of Dota 2 competitive play is the rise of the underdogs and nailbiting finales.

This week Fnatic fans breathed a collective sigh of relief when the team was able to climb into the higher ranks of the round-robin group standings after taking down Execration 2:0.

TNC Predator fans, unfortunately, did not. After being absolutely shellacked in the first match in their series against Neon Esports they lashed back hard to tie up the series and fill their and their fan's heads with visions of victory and upper standings. Neon esports had other plans. They beat up TNC and took their lunch money, their victory, and their hopes with another brutal stomping in the third match. TNC really needs to head back to the drawing board and retool their strategy and mindset if they want to head to the Major or even stay out of the lower division next season.

The week ended with 496 Gaming going head to head with T1, the struggling (and only) South Korean based organization. Not one on our radar as a must-watch series, it turned out to be the most thrilling and unpredictable series. The series tied-up 1:1 and headed into the decisive game three. By 40-minutes, there was a total of 66 kills. 496 held tightly to their small lead and by 50-minutes they secured mega creeps. However, in just one fell swoop of a fight, T1 turned everything around and headed right down mid to claim the spectacular victory.

The region has a few days break in competitive action with the next game scheduled for Wednesday, February 3rd.
