Infamous will be heading to China to compete in the Galaxy Battles LAN after a flawless run in the Americas qualifiers.
The South American team's uncontested performance was impressive to say the least. Emerging as the sole victor from the Americas open qualifiers only one day prior, the team was immediately set to work taking down opponents in the regionals event.
Infamous have maintained a strong presence in the regional events and are expected to continue to have even more solid performances especially after Renato "Kingteka" Garcia rejoined the team on May 18th. This LAN appearance will give them an opportunity to try for a much coveted LAN championship title and hopeful nod from Valve in the form of a TI7 invite.
Just days ago the Chinese and Southeast Asian qualifiers for Galaxy Battles concluded after a long series of tiebreakers - ultimately giving LGD and Happy Feet a place to compete in the main event. The European slot is still up for grabs after Prodota Gaming's late night upset over Vega Squadron set into motion a best-of-one tie breaker showdown between Vega and Mousesports to be played out later today.

Galaxy Battles details:
Eight teams consisting of those that qualified and were directly invited, will be heading to China to battle it out for a piece of the $150,000 prize pool.
A seeding group stage will kick things off June 14-15. The group stage will take place in a bo2- Round Robin format with the eight final participants being split into two groups of four. The final results will determine the seeds for the main event.
Starting on the 16th of June the main event playoffs will take place on the big stage of the Shenzhen Bay Sports Stadium in a double elimination, best-of-three format with best-of-five grand finals.
The entire event will be broadcast in English on the Galaxy Battles twitch.tv channel.
