It’s the first time ever when DreamLeague is organizing a full LeaguePlay division for the American teams, therefore giving the region a slot into the LAN finals.
Nonetheless, the organizers had to deal with last minute withdraws even for the NA division. Last week, NP got a one year ban from DreamLeague after they decided to back down for the second time in a row from the tournament, to honor the Zotac Cup invitation. The same reason was cited by Digital Chaos who got a last minute ticket to Taipei for Zotac Cup. However, DC went to Zotac Cup as a replacement for Team Freedom who couldn’t secure the visa for all their players.
In the meantime, Team Freedom will take DC’s spot in DreamLeague and will commence their journey to DreamHack Atlanta tonight, May 30. The DreamLeague NA division will be played throughout the next two days, May 30-31 with four teams fighting in a best-of-two Round Robin group stage format where each game won brings a $1,000 prize.

The NA division winners will join Team Secret, Team Liquid and Vega Squadron at the $175,000 DreamHack Atlanta LAN finals from July 21-22.
