Gabbi joins Clutch Gamers

Gabbi has left Execration to reunite with his former teammates at Clutch Gamers.

Struggling to get good results since the departure of Abed 'Abed' Yusop from Execration to Team Onyx, Khim 'Gabbi' Villafuerte has decided to move to Clutch Gamers for a fresh beginning. In doing so, he will be replacing Avelino 'Ab1ng' Parungao in the team, despite them recently surprising many SEA fans with a strong performance in the regional qualifiers of the Kiev Major. An interesting thing to note is that Gabbi has decided to swap positions and from now on he will be playing the safelane carry role for his new team. Asked about his decision Gabbi told GosuGamers the followings:

I'm glad to be back with my old teammates (Rapy, Armel and flysolo) and very excited to contribute into the future of Clutch Gamers.

Clutch Gamers also released a statement for GosuGamers regarding their recent change:

Gabbi, undoubtedly, is a very high skilled player and would be a great asset to the team's future. Hopefully with his addition we'd be able to clutch our away through some major tournaments  - Jaseem Khan, Manager of Clutch Gamers

Clutch Gamers new lineup:

Philippines Khim 'Gabbi' Villafuerte
Philippines Armel Paul 'Armel' Tabios
Philippines Rafael 'Rapy' Sicat Palo
Philippines Marvin 'Boombacs' Rushton
Philippines Kenneth 'flysolo' Coloma

On their facebook page, Clutch Gamers mentioned that Ab1ng's departure from the team was a mutual decision between the players and the managerial staff.

Clutch Gamers official statement:

We would like to thank AB1NG for his contribution with the team. We would also like to wish him all the best for his future as we still believe he is a great player and a great asset to any team he chooses to go. That being said, to clear out the confusion, it was a mutual decision among the team and its management to replace AB1NG with Gabbi. There was no bad blood between anyone involved.

It is worth mentioning that until Gabbi is done with the process of moving to Malaysia, where his new team is located, Jacko 'Jack0' Soriano from Power Gaming will be standing in for Clutch Gamers. Over the course of time, it will be entertaining to see how Gabbi builds up his new team in their efforts to rise to the top of South-East Asia.
