The first Chinese open qualifier for the Kiev Major closed day one with a surprise as EHOME were eliminated early in the competition.
Despite bringing back Zhang 'LaNm' Zhicheng to their active roster, EHOME dropped in the round of 32 in the first open qualifier. The good news for the organization is that their secondary squad, EHOME Keen survived the first day and will face rock123 tomorrow for a spot in top four. EHOME Keen had a good open qualifiers run at the Boston Major as well, in fact they were the winners of the second open qualifiers back then, after dropping in the semifinals of first open qualifiers to Vici Gaming Potential. This time around VG.P received a regional invite, so the rest of the teams are already dealing with one less contender.
However, the matches tomorrow are far from easy ones as Vici Gaming reached top eight as well, along with Newbee.Boss.
Although in some other regions there are more than three teams advancing from open qualifiers to regionals, China will have to fight till the end of the brackets, only the winners getting a spot in the regional qualifiers.
