The Brazilian team paiN Gaming qualify for the $1.5M WESG Global Grand Finals

Playing in front of a home crowd at the Sao Paolo WESG Regional LAN finals, paiN Gaming topped group A to advance into the playoff's semi-finals, taking one of the six tickets for the Global Grand finals in the process.

Recently renamed as Kingao+4, the five Brazilian players who used to be under paiN Gaming will have a day off at the WESG Regional LAN Finals after finishing undefeated in the first day of the group stage. The groups are played in a best-of-one round robin format where the winners of each group advancing into the playoff's semi-finals, and the second and third place finishers fight from the relegation rounds.

Sadly for Chilean Dota2 fans, their only team at the WESG regional finals, Rebirth Esports, did not win a single match and finished at the bottom of Group A, with zero points and no chance of advancing any further. As for the first, second, and third finishers in group A, they have secured their ticket to the WESG Global Grand Finals.

Day two in Sao Paolo, Brazil will see the teams from group B fighting for the three remaining tickets to the Global Grand Finals. Infamous are the main favorites of the group, but their mission will not be easy as Brazil has another strong representative in group B, namely T Show.
