Alliance was knocked down to the third spot in Group C at the Manila Major group stages by Fnatic after a 2-1 defeat. Fnatic will be playing in the upper bracket at the main event while Alliance will be playing in the best-of-one first round of the lower bracket.
Game one
Both teams started the series in a very safe fashion, taking a methodical approach to game one. The teams maneuvered around each other, allowing Fnatic's draft's map presence strength to put them into the lead. However, a few mistakes caused the game to equalize until Fnatic took Aegis and caught Alliance off-guard in front of their base; as a result, Alliance lost two sets of Barracks. Alliance kept defending for an extended amount of time but eventually were mega-creeped and lost.
Game two
The Bulldog Prophet strikes again. Starting the game with trading ganks and at the 20 minute mark, losing team fights to Fnatic, Alliance was fighting against into a gold lead. But Herik 'AdmiralBulldog' Ahnberg came to the rescue with his Nature's Prophet, ensuring that Alliance did not lose too much map control. This extra farming space allowed their Leshrac to come online and nuke Fnatic to the defeat.
Game three
The game's pretty even - or so Alliance thought as they ended the laning stage with a 1-1 kill score. Little did they know, the one kill will be their last. A triple kill on Yeik 'MidOne' Nai Zheng's Ember Spirit kick started Fnatic's momentum. At the 14 minute mark, a 7.5k net-worth lead, at the 15 minute mark, a wicked sick on the Ember Spirit, and at the 27th minute, a GG call.
