The $10,000 prize pool BTS series is returning with its third season for the SEA and American regions, the open qualifiers for the tournament will start next week.
From now till the coming Saturday, the open qualifier sign ups are open for the SEA and American BTS Series #3. The open qualifiers will be played out in a best-of-one single elimination bracket with a best-of-three semi-final and final; the best-of-ones will be played on the 23rd of January (Saturday) and the best-of-three wil be played on the 24th (Sunday). The winner of the open qualifiers for both regions will receive a $500 prize.

The invited teams for both regions have not been announced but it is known that 16 teams will participating, two of which will be the finalists of the open qualifiers for the respective regions. Assuming that BTS keeps the same format for season three, the 16 teams will be battling in a best-of-three single elimination bracket with a best-of-five finals.
The BTS Series is a region based online tournament aimed at growing the respective Dota2 scenes in the regions. As of the announcement of the American and SEA tournaments, there has been five completed BTS Series tournaments, two for the American and SEA regions and one for the EU region.
