Elements Pro Gaming, the new project of sQreen and Illidan are the first Shanghai Major victims, disbanding their squad only days after the qualifiers ended.
Formed at the end of November 2015, the first Dota team of Elements Pro Gaming was lead by the iconic figure in the CIS region Khaled "sQreen" El-Khabbash and featured well-known players like Ilya "Illidan" Pivcaev and Maxim "yoky" Kim.
With a mixed line-up of star players that used to be part of big teams it seems that the leadership was a heavy burden for sQreen and team’s cohesion was a big issue. The official announcement made by the organization on their VK page points at communication problems between the players:
sQreen has also made a VK post in which he unveils a bit more of the problems he was facing during his short experience with Elements and also leaves the option of assembling a new line-up for the Spring Major open:
Elements Pro Gaming received an invite to European qualifiers for the Shanghai Major after they placed second in the MarsTV Dota 2 League qualifiers, where they lost 2-3 to Team Spirit in the grand finals. At Shanghai Major Elements registered terrible results, placing last in their group with zero wins and only one draw score versus London Conspiracy.
