Fnatic are the first team to have qualified for the Shanghai Majors through the SEA qualifiers. In the loser bracket of the qualifier, MVP.Phoenix are waiting in round two for their opponents to be decided.
After Fnatic finalized their permanent roster with the addition of Zheng 'Miduan' Yeik Nai and the transition of Chai 'Mushi' Yee Fung to the carry role, they have been continuously putting up stronger and stronger performances. Now, in the second stage of the SEA qualifiers, they have managed to become the first team to qualify from SEA after a 2-0 of all their competition in the bracket.
Three teams remain in the SEA qualifiers, they will be fighting for the last SEA slot in the Shanghai Majors. First Departure and Team Taring will be battling for their tournament lives at 07:30 CET on the 10th of January - the winner goes on to face MVP.Phoenix in the next round for a chance to qualify for the Shanghai Majors.
The match between Team Taring and First Departure will be extremely close; both teams are doing very well, taking first and second place in their group. In group A, Taring was only one point behind FD and the Taring vs First Departure match ended 1-1.
