Both Mineski and Mineski.X have been eliminated from the SEA qualifiers in stage one. Meanwhile, Taring, FD, MVP.P and Fnatic have moved onto the second stage of the SEA qualifier.
The first stage of the SEA qualifiers have ended and four teams will be proceeding to the next stage. The next stage will feature a four team double elimination best-of-three bracket, the four which will proceed are government sponsored Malaysian all-star team, Team Taring, Singaporean team First Departure, Chai 'Mushi' Yee Fung's team, Fnatic, and top Korean team MVP.P.
The groups has yielded some interesting results, most notably, the elimination of Mineski - the SEA representative for the Frankfurt Majors - in group A, and First Departure's first dominating performance in a long time - prior to this, FD have been dropping out in the early stages of most tournament qualifiers. However, be it a lucky streak or the return of FD, they only dropped a game to second place team, Team Taring, in the groups, despite having to face other top SEA teams like TnC and Mineski.
This is the bracket for the second stage of the SEA qualifiers, the first game will be between Fnatic and Team Taring at 04:00 CET and the second game between FD and MVP.P will be at 07:30 CET. Both games will be played on the 9th of January.
